Part Number Request: Magnum intake manifold parts

Post by TwistedTunerz » Wed Apr 22, 2009 12:19 pm

As the title said, bought an R/T kid thought it would get better performance by taking the butterfly plates out of the manifold, need to know if you can get the butterfly plates and screws and if so part numbers, still has everything else just no plates or screws. Thanks in advance

IDK if the plates/screws are available seperately. Someone on here made their own. There is a post with pics/info, so with the right key words, a search might turn it up.
PM BRR or Dante, they may be able to get that info. And post that in here for future reference if you do obtain some info.

I think the first page of my project log has pics of the ones I made. There is also a post talking about the correct screw size floating around somewhere.

If someone with access can pull a screw from their Magnum IM, and measure the threads (I believe they are M6x1.00), the thread length, and the hex, you could probably take that info to a hardware store and get the screws for half or less than half that price. I'd do it now, but all my Mag IMs are at home

Also, FelPro sells the gasket set (plenum to runners, and runners to head) for around $6 - not sure if that is any better than OEM - I'm using it, and so far, it works fine.
If you go to a dealer, and tell them what you need, most are kind enough to write the P/Ns down for you. Just make sure you tell them that it is for the "F" code motor

I think ZeroChad was talking about the screws that hold the butterfly plates on. IIRC it was 3mm. I must not be entering the proper search terms, because I know the thread was/is out there.

Why? Just move them to the open position, and put some duct seal (putty) on the lever. It won't move, and it is easier to revert to normal operation when you can find a motor used/cheaper. You could remove the link spring from the motor and bolt it back on to keep things clean.

Just for reference, the part # for the screws that attach the MTV motor is 6101221...MSRP $1.00 each.

No size specs on them though :(

As it turns out, that same screw is used in other Chrysler products. It is used to hold the lower outer timing belt cover to the block on 01 and 02 2.4 Caravans, as well as attaching the front ABS sensors on Dakota and Durangos.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

MTV actuator motor?

Post by INVUJerry » Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:50 pm

Might have a line on a magnum intake, but the MTV solenoid is missing. I'd like to use it correctly so is it possible to get one of these seperately??

We'll see what happens Adam, might just do the trade deal then sell this slightly broken one and buy yours.
