Dear Dodge,

Please make a boner-riffic police package for the Challenger, just as you have done with the Charger.

Best regards,

Jonathan

I'm sure that local police department appreciates that.

It's still cool as hell though. I've seen one or two of those "muscle" police cars here. They're not common--at least in the city.

According to the history channel NYC only purchased 5 of them total. But all the cops are asking for them now.

I could have sworn that I saw a stealth, unmarked, all black SRT-8 police cruiser on my way to work last week (on 309 in Hatfield). I had to slow down and just stare.....lights in the grill and the big wing on the back.....that has to be cool to roll around town in.

I was in awe.

Not to bring it back from the dead.. But in Vegas the Trooper actually dragged raced their cars to help promote the keeping it off the streets program.

Yes It was at The Vegas Speed Way they had alot of cruisers and some of the older 5.0 police cars, even some of the newer BMW bikes. Both Vegas and California Highway Patrol way there.. it was a lot of fun.

I wish they had that kind of attitude around my area. There's an old airport about 45 minutes from my house. From what I hear, 10 or 15 years ago, people tried to get a drag strip built there because the land was sitting there doing nothing. Nice location, pretty good distance away from houses. One of the major points brought up was exactly the reason stated above. Keep it off the damn streets! Kids are going to be stupid... give them a place to be!

Naturally it got shot down because locals pissed and moaned that it would be too noisy. Well, go yell at the kids doing 70 past your house then, you pussies. They could have used it. Of course I'm not saying that it would completely solve the problem of speeding on the streets, but shit, the closest track to where I live is 2.5 hours away. My area, you get two high school kids that think they can beat eachother in a race... where do they go to race?? A local street. Not good.

The trooper I ride with for training has a VERY good chance of getting an unmarked Charger within the next month or so. Let's just say I'm crossing and my fingers he does.
