Poor kitty what? You have to wash them and take care of them. They don't like it at the time, but after they're pretty happy.

Washing a cat is risky business. They don't like it and will shred you to ribbons getting away. Put your kitty in a glassed in tub/shower and they'll do the same thing. Go in with them and they'll be no happier. They don't like to get wet, but they need the occasional bath. I don't think the Kitty Spa is so bad when all you get is a pissed-off cat vs. a bloody you AND a pissed off cat.

Yeah, it's almost like taking a shower

It's not like they were using a 3000lb pressure washer. Those jets are about as harmful as the mist setting on a shower head or a garden hose.

Never got pics of the kittens mother because we were trying to avoid having our arms torn to shreds, as mentioned.

That is pretty mean but if your cat isn't declawed I can see that as being pretty useful so your arms aren't a bloody mess when you're done.
