thats way sad. dude was only like 17. some kids are so lucky to have such a nice car when theyre so young, and I think it might have been another case of "too much car" for such a young driver. thats really too bad.

I am guessing that was his funeral with all those SRT-4's. Poor kid.

Just an FYI, he wasen't driving, he was the passenger. The other gentleman driving, Max, lost control at around 70mph, and wrapped it around a pole/tree

That video was not very well made if it was supposed to be a memorial video for the kid. Showing two pics of the poor guy, and then showing a hundred pics of his car.
Then at his memorial, what was with the one guy wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and the other kid wherein a ball cap, t-shirt, basketball shorts, and sneakers? Not very sincere at all.
I'm sorry, but it just made the whole situation even more sad, because it looks as if they cared more about the cars then they did him.

God bless him, family, and friends....
LISTEN!
There is no such thing as "too much car". I was lucky that this was not me a couple weeks ago. I was only doing about 40 though in a 30. Look at my car now. I almost hit a telephone pole in the drivers door sliding sideways at 40 mph. I got VERY LUCKY. The person that was driving the car, is the only person who dictates how fast a car is. NOT THE CAR.
Sorry OB. Not directed towards you. I just recently almost ended up like this and I was not acting stupid. I just get sick of hearing "it was the cars fault for having too much hp". The world is getting worse and worse. No one wants to take blame for their own actions.
Rant off.

I would wear a T-shirt and ballcap to a "Wake", not to a church. Not to any church.
Knox has a valid point. Its just like guns: Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
Dumb luck has alot to do with it too. My buddy from high school is missing a leg cuz of a wreck. He spent two days in a ditch bleeding all over himself after he launched his GTI over a 50 foot ledge into a creek. I was in the car 3 minutes before he wrecked. I chose to stay where I was cuz some chicks were there. He had to go to work. Dumb luck.
We drove right passed wheer he was when we left the spot. We had no idea he was down there. it was f'd up big time.

I agree with SullyGully, that was not a great memorial video, but it should be a warning. Seeing that SRT-4 wrapped around the tree like that, headlights on, the rear-end raised 3 feet in the air, has had a huge impact on the way I drive. Seeing the still shot of the body bags covering the front seats had a profound impact on the way I look at life. I think of those images every time I creep up past 70MPH. Yeah, 140MPH in a car (not my car, a friends Z28) is probably one of the best experiences I have had with my clothes on, but the risk wasnt worth it. Sorry for the "heavy" comments... Just my $.02

that video was more of a shattered dream type deal instead of a memorial. It just sucks how the choices we make in life how the outcome maybe & how it will effect those around us. Out of respect for the family, i would have came dressed in my sunday bessed. its not about being your self, its not even about you. its about remember a life that was taking from you & you reflect on the moments yall shared as you lay them to rest.

Some one here should redo the vid in the proper way, and submit it to the web in respect.
No offense to the guy who created it, but atleast he made the effort
If somone can redo the vid, do it....then post links her an over to SRT forums. But dont bash the origional creator, just redo it it and advertise its another memorial vid about him...

the guy who created the vid probably only had what was provided to him to work with....remember that....

Even if they only showed a couple of pics of him, at least there was thought put into it. That makes me really sad, that he was younger than I was and it makes you see that it really is a matter of luck. In no way, would it be 'the car's fault'. True, they were speeding (I think?) but that does not make it the car's fault. the car was just doing what the driver made it do.
I think it comes down to bad timing, and bad luck. Couldve been a completely different outcome if one thing had been different.
It also makes me think that I got lucky as well. a split second later and I might not have just walked away from my wreck. I cant see a civic slamming into me at 50mph not leaving some broken bones.
Its sad to see this stuff happen, at least they were there for the funeral. who knows... maybe he wanted the informal thing? mayb thats what they thought he wanted.

Did this happen to be the one where there were 3 kids in the car? Two in the front died, one in the back lived. Kid that lived name is Ariel Poliak (forgive me for my spelling) He went to my school. He was in the hospital for a long ass time, he stopped buy a couple months ago to the school. Honestly, he looked like shit. He was practically in a half body cast and had to use a rolling walker to get around. It was really sad to see, especially since he is a genious. We're talking ub3r smart.
But thats besides the point. This just goes to show why street racing isnt safe. There's speed limits for a reason. Its just a damn shame to see people go like this
RIP
