Part Number Request: 1GN padded console thingys

Post by Midnight_Rider » Wed Sep 09, 2009 4:49 am

...for lack of a better description. The little foam circles that went under your aluminum cans in the 1GN consoles. Are these still available? I took a little drive on Monday and my Coke cans kept sweating... made me think of an inexpensive dress-up.

Just ordered them from Valley C-D but they charged $4.16 per pad, not the $3.10 MSRP. Oh well, here's to my next "mod".

Now you have to call the one in NM to get the 3rd one needed.

Hmm, I hadn't thought about that. I always use one of the two cup holders under the CD changer out of habit since my 1GN didn't have the one by the e-brake. And once I get U-Connect installed, the e-brake one will make a dandy place to store my TracFone so maybe some foam padding would be a good thing there also...

Got the other one from NM. They charged the MSRP and $5 for shipping. Guess I'm good to go! Thanks again for your help BRR!

New wrinkle- just checked the website for my credit card and noticed that the CO dealer isn't showing up now (the charge was displayed on the website within minutes of the transaction earlier this week). And the NM dealer hasn't shown up at all. Guess that I will have to call both dealers again. :cussing:

CO dealership evidently doesn't weigh objects before mailing- I got a postcard at my post office box tonight notifying me of .02 INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE.

I called the NM dealership and was told that the parts guy had my part in his hand while we were on the phone. Still waiting... :banghead:

So, you had to pay two cents, to give them your two cents of ripping them one?

Friggin Government agencies will spend 10 cents to tell you you owe them 2.

Well, turns out the NM dealership sent the part to the wrong address. Just got off the phone a few minutes ago, now being promised that it will be mailed out today. :banghead:

Well at least whoever got them, sent them back. Maybe offering to pay for those free quarts of oil, payed some dividends afterall. Image

^^Hmmm, hadn't thought of that, you may be right! I just checked my credit card's website and, sure enough, I was charged for the part today. Now let's see if I actually get it. :cussing:
