Part Number Request: Fuel Filter sock (in tank)

Post by refect » Wed Dec 14, 2005 10:52 pm

i need to know if anyone knows the part number for that little sock thing that goes on the bottom of the fuel pump. not sure if it is same for srt4 as it is for regular neon, but i think it is. it looks same at least. i went to the dealership to go and get one and he looked it up on the computer....had a picture for it and all. even the name, but no part number was listed so he was like we cant get that part. i was like ahhhh idiot!! so anyone know the part number? i was looking in the walbro fuel pump how to. i think on the bag for it i saw a 400-991..is that the right number for it?

here is what im talking about...

when the car starts to run rough, or has low fuel pressure...otherwise there really is not a mileage change time. Since plastic gas tanks dont really flake with rust like the older cars did. The pump typically outlasts that ineternal filter.
