It definitely was. One of the reasons I married her.

I don't think the girls are going to make it this year, it really depends on how it all works out. I'm trying to make at least one night up there happen but we'll see as we get closer.

I hope it's not hot, I'm driving my magenta out with no a/c and then spending the next week going down to Florida. I'm gonna have one crabby broad in the passenger seat with her window down if it's hot as fuck for 11 days!

Sure it's usually hot, but last year's the only year I've seen it make local news. It was 103 at the hotel and 101 at the showfield on the hottest day. That is F-ing hot.

I registered a long time ago. I thought that the events staff sent out emails with registration counts to whichever moderator was in charge, (Frank, Jason, etc.). Anyway, I'm in.

The hotel, I still need to take care of.

This^^ what are you talking about and why is this the first time I'm hearing about this. last and only time I went was 2011. that's quite some time to allow to pass before something is brought up against my name.

I BELIEVE (I wasn't there for it) that he's making a reference to the installation of the mag intake manifold that ended up having a crack in it and rumor had it you blamed whoever installed on on cracking it... just my best guess based on what I've read numerous times. That being said....

I finally decided to register with Carlisle so Frank you can put me down as official

I don't know how it was cracked. I said it could have been cracked from when Jose (i think his name was) cleaned it for me since it was with him for 2-3 hours or more, out of my sight, the night before. I, Also, believe I asked him if he had dropped it or banged it in any way. He said no so I dropped the matter and never pursued anything from him for possibly damaging the manifold because I didn't know what exactly happened and I wasn't pointing blame to someone when I didn't know exactly how or what happened to cause the crack. To top it all off I was frustrated spending money on a part (incl. the sandblast, powder coat, the gaskets, and the tach adapter) that ended up broken and unusable. not to mention everyone's time being wasted that day and the uncertainty of me getting home that night because the neon was still running funky when I left. I blamed no one directly, only inquired a few people if they knew what happened. How is this screwing anyone?

And you use the word "Rumor" exactly. I didn't blame anyone who installed it on breaking it. I didn't ask anyone to pay for the manifold. I just tried to find out how it may have been cracked, which I never did because I dismissed it because there was no way of telling when it was cracked or how. and even if I had pointed fingers (though I don't remember doing so) I did it out of frustration, as said earlier.

and furthermore.. why is this being brought up now? 2 years later? this makes ZERO sense

I'm not going to stir up old manure and make it stink BUT it was definitely a slap in the face when me and a few others helped you on that Sunday morning into the afternoon....the last day before some of us had a VERY long ride home and not even a simple Thank you was said.

ANYWAYS. ... can't wait to see everyone again. I've had a lot going on past few months but I'll be sure to update my progress log soon.

Hope we arrive to the hotels and have rooms to sleep in not rubble lol

Booking the room and registering within the week. Me and my buddy Tyler from last year will be attending.

I thought I had said thanks right before I departed. it's not like me to not thank people for helping. The help was appreciated though, but as you say, I didn't thank anyone and I am sorry that I didn't. I was very frustrated by the end of that day and just wanted to make it home. but if there is this much bad blood that was caused I will not attend the meet. I wish this was all brought to my attention WAY before now being it nearly 2 years ago, but it's w/e.

I'm fairly certain I will be in the Outback this year. I'll still register Chtear, but the grocery getter will be making the appearance at the hotel.
