Right before I headed home from there in 2012, I parked my car in front of the big sign that you can see from the highway. We should coordinate a group picture over there or something like that.

The fact that the HW is going away makes me really regret not saving a screenshot of Canada's burnout that you could see clear as day from Google Earth, haha.

i dont know if someone wants to update or add this to the original post but Crystal keyser aka Ryans wife got us this rate and info a few days ago and posted it to the 2gn facebook page. so just thought id add this info here for those who arent on FB like gramps and maybe want to call in to get this same rate. group info and everything u need should be in the picture provided. i just booked my room there because i hear more and more people are going to book there so yeah guess ill be there too. oh yeah and dont get confused on the rates.. heres how it goes.. for someone booking thursday trough sunday it would be the $41.39 for thursday and the weekend rate is $50.39. just thought i would add that because i was confused as well when i read it.

^^Info is good but I hope that "people from another club" don't use it to get our club's rates. :-**

Long time no speak.....
I'm hoping on getting my room booked ASAP, do we call the motel and mention we are from the 2GN group for July?
This year I won't be bringing a $50,000 truck, Just my 300hp Avenger with no major extra bring alongs like, tool boxes,parts,etc...except for the 2 parts that were already payed for that take no space.
It will be the first time in years I will be bringing one vehicle :) But still registering more than one

Just booked my room at the Motel 6! I can't wait to see everyone.

I've got an extra Neon. Same color as your old one, but with the transmission you always wanted.

The Daytona is running awesome with the new cal I put in last October. Still a bit of tweaking to do, but she pulls hard in the mid range with rock-solid AFRs, and I no longer have the stupid warm-restart issues that have plagued that car since 2008.

Also, I fixed every damn oil leak on the entire engine! No more parking over a pile of effing speedy-dry. Every single bit of Teflon tape is gone and replaced with Teflon pipe dope.

Plans before Carlisle: full 3" exhaust with non-sucky muffler, hopefully make the effort to Plasti-Dip the wheels, and finish my overcomplicated-but-awesome shifter I'm working on .

but driving up to Massachusetts to pickup a non turbo neon to drive to PA seems like too much work, thanks for the offer thou :)

Not only has that been impossible so far, I still can't even figure out how to get the existing one out! So it's gonna stay the same for now I guess.

I have been around lurking. I am mellowing as I get older, not nearly as much bravado as years past.

Carlisle Events wrote:Carlisle Events is offering special status to clubs who regularly attend our events. Please submit your club to be considered a Carlisle Officially Recognized Club!

It’s one thing to be a club at Carlisle. It’s another to be officially recognized by your show’s event manager as an Officially Recognized Club of Carlisle Events. Now, you can be part of the “Who’s Who” of car clubs online and on grounds. By filling out the car club submission form, your club is in the running to be recognized and with that, a few honors will be bestowed upon you. First, you’ll have been handpicked by your event manager. Secondly, you’re club will be listed alphabetically online, joining other handpicked selections. Not every club will be accepted. We’re looking for clubs that are sizeable and make an impact at our events and as a club. Does your club have what it takes?
Are we signed up for this?

Wow I never read about that! We're got a pretty solid résumé over there as a club. We've placed in the top 3 biggest... what... 4 years in a row now?

Chris says we're signed up. Honestly, for years now, I've noticed that there's constantly Carlisle staff checking on us. Also, Jason gets to submit a "celebrity pick" on the showfield every year. I bet we've been part of this for years.
