Gramps I hate to inform you but I know the guy who has number 1, and already has it for next year as well (since he got it for next year on the 27th of this month lol)

Lolz, I guess Carlisle is the "Penicillin Penny" of the neon world.
Shel Silverstein wrote:Penicillin Penny she's the queen of the sunset strip
If she ever gives you any then you better see your doctor real quick
From the back seat of Cadillac cars, to the floor of men's room bars
She's Penicillin Penny and her future's written in the stars
She's Penicillin Penny and ever since the day she came and came
They say she's had so many, she gives 'em all numbers not names
I always call her Hun' but she calls me 1001
And Penicillin Penny starts to boogie when the day is done
She's Penicillin Penny and if you ever see her passin' through
Better run into your house before she stops and lays a little on you
If you ever let her in your door it takes 20 million units
Or more to cure the love that Penicillin Penny's gonna lay on you

For those of you who aren't my friend on facebook (or don't have a facebook *gramps*)
This is how the car sits right now, pulling the front bumper and passenger fender off to get them repainted this week. I may have drove through a farmers fence back in the winter on an icy road. So I figured I should atleast clean the car up for a car show lol.

Can't wait to see my 2gn family soon!!

OK, just for general info, if you have registered past the June 9th cut off, and you haven't gotten your sticker in the mail by now, you won't.occasional demons wrote:You can try registering online. I did after the cut off date and it went through. My CC got charged. Whether or not I get it mailed is another matter.
You have to pick it up at Gate 3 on Thursday or Friday am in the small brick building.
You should still be able to register online (if it still works), or by phone, but you will have to pick up your stickers at the gate. Do not look for it in your mail box.

I just slapped some $60 tires on, so I can blow through them on this trip and get a fresh alignment afterward.Neon4Life wrote:Well getting my alignment done right now. I should be ready to roll for the trip. Now just wait. Only 7 days left. Everyone get their Crap together. Haha.
FYI Advance currently has 30% off parts sidewide, so I just got "decent" brakes and rotors for $58.
What did you have on there before.. I wasn't about to drive 500 miles with a crooked steering wheel.

Ok man, you really need to change your avatar!
I'm joking. I just got really scared that Gramps just blew up his car. Please don't get me wrong because I feel bad for anyone on this board having issues (obviously we've all been there at some point), but I have an unhealthy attachment to Gramps' car.
I don't know if I've got it as bad as you, but I have had my stupid transmission out 3 times in the past year, twice since April.

Sad to read about anyone having car issues. Let's all make it safely to Carlisle- just a few more days!

In the process of detailing the car before leaving and discovered rust underneath the inner weatherstrip for the rear driver's side door. Where the two ends of the weatherstrip meet (at the gap), I noticed rust coming out as I was waxing the sill. I'm wondering if the lip that the weatherstrip slips onto has rusted underneath. Guess that I had better move replacing that weatherstrip up on my to-do list so that I can see what is going on in that area.

They all do that at some point in time because thats the lowest point of travel for rain water in the door jams....
Break downs, honestly, my RT never broke down all the years I drove it there, the only issue I have ever had was with my stupid ass taking off the mechanical fan on my 3/4 ton ram and installing electric fans. That issue was easily remedied.
There has been some catastrophic failures over the years with I think only 2 cars ever being towed home. We have had some repairs and installs over the years with no issues...
Everyone plays it safe now and when anyone has an issue(as long as it does not involve neutral drop burnouts) everyone tries to pitch in and help.
See ya guys next week!

I think the dealer was a little nervous when 10 of us walked in there and you ran up to the desk and asked for ATF+4 by part number from memory. Good times.BlackRoseRacing wrote:...and when anyone has an issue(as long as it does not involve neutral drop burnouts) everyone tries to pitch in and help.
Kids, no neutral drops!
Cheers.
