Can't wait... the wife and I as well as my buddy Tyler and his girlfriend (dodge ram) will be leaving tomorrow night. Should be at the hotel by thurs morning around 5am. For those that don't have Facebook etc.. the black car is currently in surgery. . Turbo install is taking a bit longer due to the fact I picked up a new toy in march... been working on it since I brought her home... that's what. I will be bringing this year. . For those that don't know you will have to wait and see lol.. I'm pretty sure it will be the only one in the hotel parking lot.

Yes the HBW is still operational. I just called yesterday to cancel my reserve there as I had booked there and at motel 6 but since everyone on fb said they was staying at motel 6 I said fine I'll stay there too. Haha. That's where Jason is staying too. So I assume most of us are staying there. Also yes there are a few people who are still staying at the HBW according to what I last read in a fb comment a while ago.

I'm booked at the Motel 6. I'd much rather stay at the HBW, but if they're gonna drag us around year after year as far as closing their doors, then forget it.

I plan to head out tomorrow morning. I was really hoping to have the NYG ready, but still dealing with brake issues, so I'll be driving the red ACR again. I haven't driven it at all this year. I hurt my back the last week of school, so I drove the Caravan to N2K14 in Belvidere just in case I had to stretch out and sleep. My plans are a little different this year. A new U-Pull opened this year in Altoona, PA so I decided to head north instead of east. Then it's a straight shot east to world famous Harry's U-Pull in Hazelton, Pa. Hope to be there by 12:00 and spend the afternoon looking for parts. Then drive south on I 81 to Carlisle. You can still register until around 7:00 and then sleep at the fairgrounds. I hope I can get there in time to still make it to the Chrysler Carlisle Kickoff at CVM (Cumberland Valley Motors now Faulkner Dodge Ram. It is the dealer where my NYG was originally sold) about 15 minutes north on RT 11. I've been going there for the past several years. Nice turnout, but I'm usually the only neon there. If I don't make it in time, I'll head over to the other side of town and spend the night in the Walmart parking lot.
I can't say for sure. I went to Harry's U-Pull in Hazelton last year on Thursday and stayed until almost 5. I was positive registration would be closed because it's nearly a two hour drive. I got there about 6:30 at the back gate # 3 and they said they would've been open for another half hour.thomas_w wrote:Aren't they closing the registration office at 5pm on Thursday (Friday is open until 7pm)? Or is the one for the camp ground different from the regular registration office?pa acr wrote:You can still register until around 7:00 and then sleep at the fairgrounds.
See ya Friday, Adam. Wouldn't happened to have a set of valves for a 2.0 DOHC would you?

Made it back without incident.
As always it was a great time, thanks to all that volunteered a helping hand, and to Jason for his generosity!

Made it home last night as well. Car ran fine. There was quite a bit of rain and witnessed a nasty accident. So be careful out there.

I left Carlisle about 20 minutes too late yesterday. We were 15 miles from home and the sky turned pitch black and the heaviest rain I've driven through in a while was under way. I Rain-X'd the windshield so I could see just fine but the water was coming down so quickly I was scared to death I was going to hydro lock it, so I downshifted to 3rd, threw the hazards on and cruised until the next exit then waited it out.
man that was such a long drive home but i made it
sorry i didnt get to talk to half the people i wanted to while i was there but the weekend was just crazy for me. good seeing everyone!
