This fella hopped out of the bushes as i was mowing my lawn near some bushes yesterday. I never seen one in person. I scooped him up and put him on a near-by tree out of harms way from the mower. Not sure what type it is or if its male or female..

I took this pic a little more than a month ago when she was 2 months old.

She's a purebred Boxer. I named her Laila. I told myself if i ever got a chance to get a boxer, I would name it after a professional boxer. Since she is female, i named her after Mohammad Ali's daughter, who is also a pro boxer..

Great shots, guys, love the mantis, but HOLY SHIT that spider shot scared the crap out of me, had to fly past it.

Seems like a low depth of feel is really the way to go for good shots. hmm...

yeah I love the shallow depths of field with big aperture shots.. I'm addicted to bokeh (sharp subjects and blurry backgrounds)
