General photography

closeup angled shots are harder to get everything in focus.....generally you have to use a smaller aperture with a longer exposure...not always easy to do on a P&S...

REALLY? really? come on.. internationally distributed newspaper > high school paper
and if you REALLY wanna go there... for 3 years, I designed every layout for my HS paper... AND about 80% of the photography and advertisements.
To add to it, the design portion always got high marks from Columbia University. The paper as a whole... my year as the chief editor... received the highest marks of any HS paper in MD.

again... from COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY.

if youre going to be proud of something... be proud of something that's at least worth it.

So to answer your question... yes, youre special in your own right... but not quite the same level of special I am. I didnt ride the short bus like you.. I DROVE it.

Thats the one bad thing about photos... you have people going around with their "angles" and makes them look much different then they really are.

ok, i'm not trying to be an asshole, i'm asking a serious question here, wtf are you doing with these shots that they have no depth to them at all? The shot with the cars looks horrible. There's hardly any shadows to speak of, everything is far too bright, i just dont get it.....

i can tell you used a flash, but why?

the pic with the rice... is probably the best out of the three.
only one with color... though I do wonder where the shadows are.. that time of day there is no way none exist.

I am done seeing the same two pics of that girl with the neon as well. shes trying too hard. Pic isnt bad just... its nothing to be excited about.

with most of the black and white shots im seeing... theyre VERY flat. From everything in the darkroom... one thing I learned well was to always have a black black.. and white white.

kinda funny...only ppl on 2gn think they are flat..posted on a photography forum and everyone loves them..o well...guess thats what i get from car ppl not photographers.. (no offense trinity)

as it has been stated before(by a mod).. this isnt the post pics of half naked girls when requested thread.

what photography forum are you posting on where "everyone loves them"... cause If I pass those to some pro friends of mine... are you sure they will love them? or give you the same feedback myself and Matt did (probably in a better stated way).

no offense taken, I dont always take good pictures... and I dont pretend to, I get negative reactions just the same.

but I am not going to sit here and lie to you and say the pictures are amazing or that I love them.. because I dont. they have a lot of basic flaws.

the flash was fill flash...u suppose to use it even during the day...
