That would be next I'm thinking bose's 3.2.1 system.

The Bose 3.2.1 is garbage..
Get a true 5.1 if you have the space.. if not save yourself some money and piece together a 3.1 system with a dedicated receiver, Tower Speakers and a center channel. Hell even 2 bookshelves and a center with a dedicated Receiver will sound better than that lump of crap from Bose. If you want some excellent Speakers Look up Definitive Technology. They are unbelievable. For a receiver pick up a Denon.. the AVR1507 is a steal at it's current retail of $210.. If you want something newer the Denon AVR 1508 is another great receiver with Passthrough HDMI 1.3 for $350.
Which LG is that? Looks like the 42LC7D or the 42LB5D..

I would have to say, listen to
MoxHairR/T he knows his shit. I purchased the Denon AVR2800 almost 8 years ago, and it still sounds amazing today through my Cerwin-Vega's LS15, LS8, LS6-C, and CLS-15S sub. The sound system really makes or breaks the experience.
Anyway Enjoy your 42" LG HDTV, it looks great.

You have a Denon AVR2800? Holy crap!! Thats a 2000 model Year, made in 1999. Holy Crap!! The 28series has always been really good.. I really like this years 2808.. Its one of my favorites.
I love Denon products. The have some of the most clean and crisp audio processors. I currently own a Denon Receiver and a Denon Upconvert DVD Player.. Can't say anything but good stuff about them.
I'm going to buy their Blu-Ray whenever it is released. It's going to be insane..
oh and Magnolia Employee Discount For the Championship!

which do you think will win Blu ray or HD DVD??

Both.
Dual Format.
Im leaning towards a video game like era in movies, Where the 2 formats can co-exist.
We'll see though.. 2 months ago I would of said Blu-Ray in a Runaway victory.. but one movie changed that for me. Transformers. Signing that Movie company was huge for the HD-DVD camp

yeah they had transfromers playing on a sony its was in the 50" range in HD and it looked better then in the theather and I saw it twice in theathers.
I think I'm getting a surround sound system as a gift for my birthday on sunday. I have no idea what tho.
which leaves getting a new DVD player. But I'm not sure what to get. The firedog guys that came out to set up the TV said to get a dvd player that slimuates HD so that all my DVDs look better. I have a lot of DVDs somewhere in 300s.
Will a Blu-Ray or HD DVD player play regular dvds?
whats the differnce between componet and HDMI?

If you took out the rear bottom seat cushion you may be able to get a 47" in. Or if your able to move both your seats forward.
But its a tight fit. I could have replaced the entire rear back of the rear seat with the 42". If I had money to build a show neon that what I would do. Fiberglass a 42" TV into the where the back of the rear seat would be and then where the bottom cushion was mold in a sub and compoent speakers an a blu ray unit.
Then make the front seats turn 180 degrees so you sit and watch TV during the show or say while tailgating.

Go to Best Buy..
FireDog sucks my balls
oh.. and yes Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players will play regular DVDs and they upconvert the signal
Seriously though.. The WaterCat installers are some of the most incompetent pieces of trash i have ever seen. My team gets alot of re-do installs that circuit city originally fucked up.
There's a reason why Circuit is going bankrupt.

i say buy a PS3 using the fiber connections on the 5.1 surround system and using the hd compenents brings games like GT5 to a whole new level. also its a blue ray player.
i wish we had a 1080p tv to play it on tho. Curently we only have a 480p smaller tv.

I got the fire dog for free. Cause I was waiting so long for them to finish the sale.
But they really didn't do anything cause the Dish guy hadn't been out. So i've done all the connections myself.
I am getting confused with the surround sound cause I don't know what kind of I/Os I'm looking for and what need to get connected were to make it all work.
