Isn't it supposed to have a cross-hatched pattern to the hone? Did you use a bottle hone? They recommend using that while moging it up and down to give it the cross-hatched pattern. In jus about every book and every shop I've spoken with. I don't remember why but it's been impressed upon me that it's important enough to remember to do it. Just a thought.

Yep, it's got cross hacthing, but it doesn't really show up well in the pics. All this is to just get the car running; it may burn a little oil, but nothing too bad. It looks like I'll be taking the rings from the motor that came in the car and putting them on the freshly honed motor. me = cheap-ass
