it doesnt sound as good as the srt-4 neon but i like the way it rides and handles. kind of like driveing a very fast truck but not as big. I love the hatchback look. I will be gettin one in the next year. just waiting for the allwheel drive.

common Knowledge.
Erich Heuschele from Dodge’s SRT division wrote:Heuschele tells us that the main factor to not using the same AWD system that can be found on the Caliber R/T, is that the system just doesn’t have the capacity to handle the torque produced by the SRT-4’s more tuned engine. Heuschele says Dodge would rather compete at the FWD level than use a less than adequate AWD setup to fight the Impreza WRXs and Lancer Evos of the world, or be forced to develop a costly new system for the SRT-4.
if there was going to be a AWD version there would be stuff everywhere about it.

Erich Heuschele wrote:Well, the all-wheel R/T system is really a reactive system that isn't capable of putting anywhere near the torque that we would want to put on the back of the SRT-4. (This statement got a little jumbled in the transcription process.)
So, we would have had to develop a whole new system, which was quite prohibitive and the feeling was that if we had started from scratch with an all-wheel drive performance system in order to compete with the Evo and the WRX STI, we couldn't offer the vehicle at the kind of price point that we wanted to offer.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the warm air either, but it did really help. Besides, when I install the SRT-4 hood, there will be a duct feeding it
