Unbelievable... so close in looks to the ones I used to climb in and out of at dealerships when I was a kid. Give it an MTX and let me win the lottery so that I can buy one.

Pretty bad ass if you ask me... now lets see what the Ford will have to offer with the New Mustang, I hear its going to be quite a sensation...
Its going to be quite interesting with the New Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro... talk about an 80yr old dude getting a boner...

Seriously needs a MTX.... I have nothing nice to say about ATX.

Very nice nonetheless.
mmmm. Very nice.

ATX=Consistancy......
That car will be good for nothing but straight lines, so a manual will do you no good on the drag strip, slipping clutch, mis shifts, broken/fragged clutch disk, broken u-joints......all things that can and WILL ruin your drag times, miss a shift, you lose the race. Manuals aren't used in any pro drag car for that very reason, When you CONSTANTLY dump the clutch at even 3000rpm's, you are shocking everything down to the u-joints, and even all the driveline seals, you WILL break more parts with a manual tranny drag racing than an auto.
Autos are just WAY TOO consistant to overlook if you like straight lines.
Manuals=fun
This car is just too piggie fat to go canyon carving in, or take autocrossing. Thats what your Neon is for.

you are right but gosh manuals are fun, its pretty fat but i bet if that sucka is lowered and the suspension is beefed up a bit she could handle nicely.

I'd like the car a lot more (SRT version) if it didn't weigh 4140 pounds (100 pounds lighter then a charger), have a parts bin interior that is honestly comparable to a Neon and do a quarter mile in 13.9 all for the low low price of 38k.
I mean, the exterior looks cool and hey the cup holder is conveniently located, I guess that's a plus, huh?
I imagine people will buy them for nostalgia and everything but what then?
edit: although, this looks pretty cool
Dodge Challenger Super Stock Drag car to be available within weeks! According to oh20, a Challenger 800 pounds lighter than the production version will be available for racing. This will be a special factory package built for NHRA-sanctioned Stock Eliminator drag racing. * Lightweight front fascia support system
* Composite lift-off hood with functional scoop
* Lightweight cooling module with electric fan
* Special modified drop-out front crossmember
* Lightweight drag race-only front brake assembly

But who needs consistancy?

I just prefer MTXs, that's all. Dodge has nothing to worry about anyway since I'll never be able to afford one.

The Performance Numbers are kind of disappointing.. Lets hope the 6speed fixes that.

Yeah, but you'll be able to get an R/T 6speed for much cheaper I imagine.
The prices may come down a little too, but you'll agree with me, that they'll likely sell them all to people who want nostalgia.
Don't forget to complain about the lack of an LSD...

Should run decent but the 4100lbs is definitely holding it back..
It weighs more than the GT500 but makes a LITTLE more power...
Should be in the high 12s I'd think..

They had to or the Charger would have beaten the Mustang.

Yeah, you'll be hard pressed to get one for less than 20-25% OVER msrp for the first year, just like the original srt-4.
