So the Neon's been parked for the winter...

Any sort of pictures or videos (no adult content!) that is not related to Neons go here.

And I finally got this out on the road...

My 2000 CVPI. She's a blast to drive, but handles like hell in the snow. I still need to get her all cleaned up, but I ran out of decent weather by the time I got the tranny swap done and a couple other things that needed done. Some of the white spray paint (to cover the old police department lettering) still needs to come off and I'm going to be painting the wheels gloss black and adding chrome center caps.

Oh yes.

The first day I had it running, there was no snow on the ground and I left a nice PAIR of 4' black marks out front of my house. Hehehe. She moves. :D

Everyone is going to be driving slow around you. I actually saw one today, it had fake lights mounted on the rear window. Normal tags. Dumb looking mid 40's guy driving that gave me a weird look. I dropped a gear right next to him and sped off. D-bag can't pull me over.

I have a thing against Crown Vics and Grand Marquis...

But hell you got the cars cheap so thats awesome. Now change your paltes to say NOTACOP.

Unfortunately I tried and they were taken. :(

I now have Volunteer Firefighter plates on the car... And I know what you mean about people driving slow around me... Really sucks when I'm running late for work and get stuck behind some guy that does 33mph in a 35mph when most people cruise through at like 45.

Oh well. The lightbar will probably be coming back off in the Spring when I replace it with "undercover" style LED lightbars inside the car.

That's right ladies...use OverDrive!

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

Never thought of it that way. That would suck! Now get some aviator sunglasses, and keep a stern look on your face at all times when you are driving.

Yeah, I'm gonna' start driving around in my Fire Department uniform...

The next mod for the CVPI is an '03+ grille for the front... It's the mesh style and allows more light to pass through if you have lights mounted behind the grille. The horizontal-bar-style grill, like the one I have, blocks quite a bit of light. I'm also thinking about removing the strobes from the Neon and installing them in the CVPI, as well... Corner lights, and the taillights and reverse lights.
