Quite possibly, my favorite song of all time. I have the original CD album from which this song was taken (before the first US CD plant opened, when CDs were made in West Germany), a CDV of this single (from the UK, Compact Disc Video- two audio tracks and the video that was only viewable on a LaserDisc player), a 12" LaserDisc of this and their other videos and a 12" vinyl single with two dance remixes of this song. Wow, am I obsessed with this song or what?

Sorry that this isn't the Polydor (promo) video of the song that was always on MTV- I can't find that on YouTube and can't download it from my LaserDisc(s).

Didn't they kinda go all vanilla ice on that song and try to redo it about 6 different times? I remember reading about that guy when I was young he is an amazing bass player.

There were two different 12" singles at the time but I don't know about the "Vanilla Ice" treatment (I'm not sure what you mean by that). The technique used by their bass player is definitely different and difficult- I wonder if he has any kind of arthritis problems now after years of playing like that.
