Saw one on the road today for the first time, was a white one lowered on gold rims. Looked really nice.

I've seen a few GTR's around since they were released, including two modified ones at WekFest in San Francisco earlier this month. Sharp looking car. Way bigger in person than I expected.

It's Still a Nissan

I'd still take an Exige S over a GTR any day of the week.

Its the coolest washing machine Ive ever seen!

Can anybody explain the appeal of this car to me? Its a supercar (its not but whatever) that is really ugly, safe, boring, and, soulless but nice and fragile
Why has anybody bought one?

my boss at the lab has one and honestly the R34 is definitely better than the GTR. it got a better feel. this thing I do not like from either the drivers seat or passengers.

whats the big deal the took the skyline and put an 8cyl in it and called it a super car

3.8L V6 Twin Turbo AWD monster with a 7000RPM redline?

It is.

So its a 1992 Dodge Stealth RT/TT you know you can get one of those for the same money as a GT-R minus a zero

Man, that interior looks worse in the picture than it does in the brochure.

I'll just keep saving my money.

No offense man but that's an ignorant statement, the engineering is sound in the GTR, far more sound than most things badged as one of the Chrysler cars, and definitely moreso than Mitsubishi engineering (which would include the Stealth a.k.a. Mitsu 3000GT).

My only beef with that car is it's BIG and HEAVY compared to the preceding car (R34 Skyline GT-R).

Honestly, I'd rather have a 370Z...

It were a joke but honestly if the cars only claim to fame was the power train its not all that special. The GT-Rs best feature is Nissan's marketing department. The car doesnt have to fulfill any of the claims they made(it misses pretty hard on a lot of them) and people still go ape shit (30k mark up is ape shit) over it.

If only the styling guys got a couple from the marketing department maybe the 370 would have turned out better

Two points:

1. The engineering should be better for the price tag.

2. If the engineering is so good, why does it blow up transmissions.

Honestly, I would never own one of these, even if I had the money.

2 cars I'd rather have for around the same price. 2 cars that are more driver's feel centered, 2 cars with way less computer control, 2 cars that would be a million times more fun to drive. 2 cars that little rice boys and fast and the furious cronies wouldn't be drooling over.

Agreed. This car is such an over-hyped, under built POS. All of the claims the made about the car, are not being shown to actually happen in the real world.

It may be much better engineered than the 3000GT/Stealth, but even with a Chrysler auto trans (which we know how well those work) te trans stays attached to the car for more then 25 launches...

What a crock this thing is...

one thing I forgot to add

When you hit the launch control button a little antenna on the car pops up and starts beeping Morse Code to the closest Nissan dealership...

1) S.O.S... send tow truck with the location

2) Warranty voided and the VIN number

True story

Two points:

1. The car costs significantly more than the large majority of Chrysler's lineup, it should have better engineering.

2. If the engineering is so good, why does it blow up transmissions.

Two points:

1. I'm a little sissy girl who likes to dance around in my wife's underwear

2. If the engineering is so good, why do I blow out the elastic bands?

Honestly, I would never own a man thong, cause lace is just my thing.
