To do.......or not to do. I am leaning twards yes. Will make my bimmer different from everyone elses. I posted it in the epic thread but want more responses.
This stripe in the exact same spot as this car. I will have it professionally installed so it looks good.
And incase you don't remember this is the car it is going on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the off centered stripe supposed to go on the side the Driver sit's on? So on your car shouldn't it be on the other side?

10 years ago I would have said yes but not today. Try putting some ?//M style red and blue fender stripes first. Just something subtle. Personally, I would keep it clean and simple. Who cares if you blend in...just means it's easier to get away.

Yes, over the drivers side... and I vote yes if it's flat black.. or semi gloss... that'd be subtle yet nice.

Typically it goes over the drivers side to give the driver a straight line to help align his car from the smoke after a spin out. They were also used to help identify cars on the track. Anymore they're typically used for aesthetics.

Yes it was a safety designation in the early days of closed cockpit cars, so the various nationalities of safety workers would know which side to attempt rescue from.

Fender stripes. Please dont do the single euro wiper mod. I always hated that but every euro I saw back in the day had this. Black out the rings on the grille.

Wiper mod? And no I like the Chrome rings for now.
I think I am going to do them in flat black. Just gunna sand the stipe so it is flat black. Yet I don't have to spend money or time on stickers or paint.

Okay guy... go ahead and sand your paint down.. and in a month or two when you get tired of the stripe... Have fun repainting..
OR...
Don't be a cheap ass and get a decal made.. if you get tired of it.. peel it off..
Hmm....
Tough choice.

Even so..... decal = just peel right off rather than wet sanding and going through all that work...
Whatever floats yer boat.
