Well, while I was up in Virginia training for 20 days, they actually set up a "field trip" to the Museum. Here's some pictures that I took while I was there (for anyone interested).

ahh...the field trip, did that back at OCS

Nice pictures. I could hang out with all the aircraft in that place all day long.

Looks like they added a few things since I was there.

How long has the museum been around? Never heard of one till we got to A.P. Hill and they told us that we'd be taking a day to go see it.

Wow that place has serious history, I'd love to visit something like that. Aircraft have a sweet spot with me as well. We don't have anything like that around here. Nice pictures :)

Thanks LSP. Wish they had more pictures of aircraft, but the Marine Corps has never really had anything special beyond Harriers lol. We probably used the AF's B-1 Bomber's more than our Harriers in Afghanistan last year  1000lb. delayed detonation > 500lb. airbursts

We have everything the Navy does, except maybe a couple different types of helicopters.

Cobra
Huey
Frog
Stallion
Osprey
C-130
Hornet/Super hornet
Harrier
Prowler

The museum has been open since 2006, I was there 2 years ago.

I guess Congress figured they better use the B-1s since they spent so much on them...plus the payload will always be ten times better than what we will ever have. Strategic bombers will always win over tactical in terms of power.
