So I went to have lunch with my boyfriend at his work yesterday since it was gorgeous out and I had the day off. When I pulled in I had to stop...and stare. I absolutely LOVE the older Dodge vans I think they're adorable. He serviced this one before they put it on the lot but the little shit is set up totally for racing, the slicks in the back are enormous, no power steering, no power anything just raw. I forgot to ask what the engine was....but enough here's the picture:

They look shocked, I just think they're adorable as hell and really cool looking. Different strokes for different folks, this van does it for me.

You have missed the whole (unintentional?) theme of the first post!

Notice how similiar the grilles are between the van, and LilSparkPlug's SRT.

Yet another example of something I can remember when it was new. This vehicle would have been "in" when I was in high school as vans were the big thing then (before gas went up!). :D

Further investigation has revealed the mystery machine has a Chrysler small block 360. Ha ha I love it. :)

As a little boy I remember riding around in that van... well no... not THAT van but another one just like it.

My uncle was an electrician. The back of the van was full of electrical stuff rattling about & swinging back & forth.

I thought it was so cool.

Then he traded it for a 1964 Dodge Polara with the push-button transmission, removed the rear seat and used it like a van.

It wasn't cool riding around in the rear sitting on cushions atop all the stuff.

But that push button transmission was so cool.

It's still cool in my book I absolutely love them.

Yes...Imperial Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep in Mendon MA. No offense to any other dealer but it is the most BEAUTIFUL dealership I have ever seen. They have a Ford and GM store as well. The Ford one has a built in dyno for tuning, the Dodge one has a Prowler hanging from the ceiling. If you go to their website you'll see what I mean www.imperialcars.com It's just gorgeous.

That is what's known as a Dodge A100 van. They also made a A100 truck similar to this van. In fact there's one for sale about 5 miles from my house.

I really love those old vans. More and more people are using them for drag racing since it isn't widely done now.

Theyre sorta kinda in the bed stock. The front half of the dog house is the arm rest inside.

But yes, I believe TLR engine was mounted farther back, and even more in the bed area.

My dad would kill for a window van version of this, with doors on both sides (yes, Dodge made a van with doors on both sides, long before honda or anyone else). He wants to put 4WD in it. The track width is similar to a CJ.

I forgot about the little red wagon too! No idea on the asking price but I'm not sure it's all that cheap. But it's definitely the rich kid's dealership ha ha it has all sorts of toys. Really really nice place :)
