Over the past week Ive been polishing and cleaning my 2wd D-150 as its got rough over the winter. I bet Ive got 10 hours in it and its not as clean as I want it by far course aint no way to get 25 year old factory paint perfect. Its a 83 D-150 2wd with a 383 Magnum swapped in, 12in Kickers in truck boxes, 800 watt Pioneer amp, Jensen 7inch screen, 2.92 highway gears, cam/intake/headers/carb and some custom touches like the bed cover and the sunroof. Enjoy

This truck was my dads when he was 14, he ordered it from my Uncle who at the time had a Dodge dealership in our little town. Originally was a 318 but its a loaded Prospector edition which meant it had it all. You get that nostalgic feeling when you drive it. Thats the best part of an old truck with alotta history. At one point it had a cammed 440 in it and ended up bein the fastest truck in my town. Im not sure the direction Im gonna go with it from here, maybe black 18s or an O/D trans. No idea just yet.

Definantly dont do the 18s. Put an OD tranny in there and be happy. If you change the wheels, stick with something that fits it. Some slotted mags or something.

Overall, a clean truck. Good job on it.

I remember when you and I used to disagree on damn near everything.

Anyway, whats up? Last time I watched Biloxi Blues, like a week ago, I thought of you.

Man, that thing is so beat up and nasty, you should just send it to me.

I love old Dodge trucks. Don't do anything to it. It's awesome just the way it is.

Awesome truck. My dad told me he thought he remembered the Prospectors actually coming with a shovel and an ax when they were sold new at the dealership!

I think it needs a slight drop in the front for a rake, some Torq Thrusts and side exit chrome exhaust tips and it would look perfect!

My dad had a yellow '76 D-150 Adventurer when I was younger. I always wanted that truck. Unfortunately he sold it to a friend when he bought his '95 Ram back in '94

That truck looks well maintained and looks brand new! No fading, rusting, bad body damage!

For 25 years old it looks to be in better condition than some cars that are two and three years old. Very nice. And don't do 18s....I'm with Brian on that one. Keep it's nostalgic look alive.

Thanks, I got bored today I made a Autobots logo for the steering wheel like Bumblebee had on Transformers. It looks pretty freakin sweet. The wheels I was thinking about are American Racing Rebel B's in black with low pros. Course thatll be postponed because Ive found a set of 38.5 inch Monster Mudders for my 4wd I might pick up next week. Not sure yet, its got a accelerator pump goin bad so fun fun.

I say keep it the way it is and maybe throw a 5speed in it? Or a new HEMI swap? 6.1L crate engine

We've been really thinkin about a 5.7L and trans out of a totaled newer Ram to swap in it. Itd be a monster then.
