My front plate. Yes or no?

Post by JeffM » Thu Oct 01, 2009 1:31 pm

Alright, so since Vermont doesn't have a front plate law I've been rocking just the mount on my Audi for awhile now. I figured I would take it off today since it served no purpose. To my dismay it looks like the previous owner used the mount as a battering ram and ended up engraving the outlines of the plate into the bumper! :cussing: It looks a little weird BUT maybe that's just me seeing it only from one angle. What do you guys think? Keep the mount on or off?

Here it is with the plate:

And here is the damage: :-(

What do you guys think? :-( And yes I know the car is DIRTY!

Being a battering ram is all that a VW/Audi is good for

I'll probably just keep the mount on. :-( After cleaning it up a bit I noticed that the paint under the mount was so shiney and new looking compared to the rest of the bumper paint that it made the damage stick out more. :-(

And no, I'm not into the whole 'zomg! I haz euro car so I needz haz euro plate!' Plus, I think their plates are just ugly.

See if you can get that fixed and get the paint blended in that area.

Front plates are for the lose, even euro. Its hardly noticeable. When you do your next rustoleum paint job you can fill it in with bondo !

That Audi plate seems a little redundant since the Audi rings are gonna be right above it.

Thanks for the input everyone. :-D I think for now I'll leave it off. I'm hoping in the future (well, more of just a dream really) that I'll be able to get an A4 ultrasport or RS4 front bumper. =P~ Then I won't have to think about the damage one bit.

I would laugh so hard if someone with an Audi had a Dodge designer tag.
