Looks like you have a serious project on your hands. Even more so if the body work is part of it. And even more if you are to do something with that interior.

Good luck

I like the FC Turbo IIs but that's bout it.

Saw a white on at the track last week...

MINT Paint... mint moldings...etc etc etc.

LS1 Swap with spray... he was running mid/low 10s.

Had some OEM looking wheels so the car was a total sleeper.

So true. A dealer I worked at for about 10 years was a Mazda dealer as well. We did more engine rebuilds than I care to think about.

Bottom line, if you are good at working on these engines then it will be worth it to you. If not you will either learn to work on them or sell it in disgust.

That is the general rule of thumb. If you can make sure the car does not overheat ever, then you may go a little further. Once that car gets hot (and it will) then the mileage interval is reduced.

I would if she'd sell it to me. I'd make my 98 a 40 MPG autocross wonder, and have a solid 13 second all motor NYG :D

Well, 2 years ago I was barely making enough money to get by. I needed a car for my wife to drive. The NYG was not dependable. My mom had been screaming at me for 6 months to get it out of her driveway since that's where it broke. My wife was always asking "What are you going to do with that thing". I was stuck in a bad spot Tina, you know that. I didn't have money to mod it, and my wife was driving an 86 Ram 350 van around. I had to get a car that was dependable, and had to get rid of the thing in the driveway. Now I make a lot more money, have a lot more knowledge on how to fix things, and have a spot to work on it. I'm just in a better position now.

If I had the NYG right now, I wouldn't have though about scrapping it over the broke brake line because I'd just use polyarmour brake lines. And, I have a really really really really badass heart for it.

Thanks though. Good luck with your RX7, your NYG, and your Caliber projects.
