Canada's New Ride?

Post by Canada » Sun Jan 10, 2010 2:14 pm

Well, the time came to move on from my truck, hence the lack of a current sig...

The lease came on the truck and they wanted too damn much to renew, so I told them to keep in, and persued another venture.

Welcome, in all his stock glory, Sgt Green. My New Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Image

Its a base unlimited, with the 6 speed and trailer tow group. No other options. The weather here today was about 35 degrees, and I was out driving with th Sunrider portion of the top wide open, wearing a nice furry Jeep trapper hat!

Mods to come...? :banghead:

Looks good Chris.

Did you remember to put the muffler back on the truck?

Put the what back on the what Frank

Well, its time to mod the Jeep :laughing3:

I got a bunch of stuff for Birthday and Christmas, as I ordered this way back in October, and just got him now.

Mods include:

Teraflex 2.5" Coil Lift w/ Shock extensions
Rubicon Unlimited Shocks
Mopar Running Boards
Mopar Black Powdercoat Gas Door
Mopar Chrome Grill
Hella 700FF
Quadratech Light Mount Brackets
Crager Soft 8 Wheels
Hankook RF10 Tires (33x11x17)

My friend said I could borrow his shop and hoist, so we went for a little drive and this is what happened...

All in all, it took us about five hours to do most of the work, plus a bunch of time fooling around, and hanging out. Really happy with the results, ended up getting about 4.5" of lift overall for some reason, but not complaining lol.

Hope you like, next post will be some new pics of its updated look.

The wheels I got stock with it, are the exact same as Rubicon wheels, and MTRs are expensive. My 'Kooks work much better than the MTR in the snow and ice we get.

Frank, I bought it.

Yes, its rated to tow 3500lbs.

Thanks for the comments guys and gal.

Actually come to think of it, I'm not a fan of Jeeps, period. I'm 6'3 and have yet to be comfortable with the leg room in the Cherokee's, Wranglers, Liberty, etc that I've sat in...

That XJ does look damn good! The wheels won't fit your Mom's TJ Ben, different bolt pattern.
