Let the rebadging begin..

Post by Haganracing » Tue Jan 12, 2010 1:24 pm

Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the first Lancia Delta rebadged as a Chrysler was made public...no other name was given and it looks like Fiat/Chrysler is aiming at the small SUV market...with the demise of the Pacifica..

I really like it, and I love the headlight/taillight design. Very nice :)

I think it's kind of cool looking. Definitely a Fiat design. I think it's a push in the right direction.

looks better than the Caliber, Avenger, Sebring, PT Cruiser..

I think that sums up all of Chrysler's small vehicle segment.

New styling is more than overdue for Chrysler. I like it :)
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

i can't believe they gave it the lancia name out of all the names it could be. First off all the good cars lancia has produced for the public were sports cars and they were sports cars that are collectible because they fell apart so much that having one is a rarity.
I believe this was covered in top gear not to long ago. If they were to name a car the lancia it should be a reincarnation of a rally worthy vehical not this crossover thing.

looks more alfa romeo-esque than lancia.

either way... good job copying the rest of the market. doesnt look like anything special that is not already out there.

blah.

Really good coverage of the auto show on allpar.com. Car isn't my cup of tea but anything beats the current Sebring.

thought you guys would like to know what this thing really does overseas:

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Sea ... AR-review/

Statistics
On sale in the UK: Mid 2009
Engine: 1910cc 4-cyl twin-turbo diesel, 190bhp @ 4000rpm, 294 lb ft @ 2000rpm
Transmission: Six-speed manual, front wheel drive
Performance: 7.9 sec 0-62 mph, 139 mph, 49.6 mpg, 149 g/km CO2
How heavy / made of? 1430 kg/steel
How big (length/width/height in mm)? 4520/1797/1499

i know we will never get the turbo diesel here but if we did what a fuel friendly car it would be.

the rear end looks somehow like that ugly compact Volvo.

oddly enough this is from the review above:
It’s aimed at those downsizing from an Audi A4 or maybe a Volvo or an upper spec Passat who don’t want any loss of luxury or ‘premiumness’ but want to lose some length and bulk and gain on fuel economy.
