Completely agree.rOniN wrote:To keep discipline, things like this cannot go uncorrected. To keep our traditions and values intact, we must respect the uniform that we put on. If you do things like this in uniform, what does it say about the discipline we so strive for? We are professionals and we must act like one 24 hours a day, especially in uniform.
We do fight for freedom of expression, but that doesn't mean we always get to have it ourselves.

Re: FB profile pic that got under my skin.... military
Sorry my picture offended you so much....I took it down. My pictures were only visible to friends and friends of friends. Not nearly the entire world.dblsg wrote:so FB put this guy on my "you may know" list... and me personally found his profile pic very crude. i don't know if its my PTSD kicking in or what... but i personally think that this pic is not something you should post on the general internet. yeah yeah, its just some dude in uniform flipping the camera off... but how many ways could this pic be interpreted????
probably because you haven't done anythingstdlystdmufn wrote:p.s. another pet peeve of mine is when people thank me when im in uniform. i don't know why.
wow....that was uncalled for.TheRandom1 wrote:As for the picture, the dude looks like a douchebag, and his chick looks like she was beat with the ugly dick for a while.
haha...you don't know me...I'm not a douche...not even close. I won't judge you over the internet...don't judge me.stdlystdmufn wrote:all in all not worth your trouble, this guy is a douche, and will always be a douche.
why don't you just shut the fuck up? I'm gonna guess that your mom forgot to swallow once...n20sxt wrote:OT but that couple would make some fucking gnarly looking babies
thank youPocahontas wrote:Ideally, there'd be respect for the uniform so I understand why it would be found offensive... but, I can't exactly articulate why I don't find it offensive. Maybe because I interpret it as a joke.
and as for n20sxt's comment about making some fucking gnarly kids. Wow....talk about me all you want but first off...leave my wife out of it. Then leave my kids out of it. My son is 2 years old and I missed his birth while sitting in a shithole in Afghanistan fighting for your freedom which you're apparently using to make fun of me and my family.
I understand representing the army....I do it every day. It was one picture, meant as a joke, that was taken the wrong way and went way too far. I took it down because I decided that it wasn't worth the drama.
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend....I'll be working.

Hey, Eddie. How ya been? Welcome to the assholishness of anonymity. Big dicks swing when nobody can see it's actually not big.
FWIW, it probably wasn't the best picture to put up, but you can flip me off in any clothes you want after the service you have given me, my family, and the rest of the country.

So... you're not a douchebag. But you joined a forum with the sole intent of replying to a bunch of strangers who commented on a picture you posted, and you even went so far as to tell some of those members to shut the fuck up, and PM'd others to wonder why their mommy didn't tell them to play nice with others?
Yup, you're not a douchebag.
Oh, and BTW... stuff like this isn't usually considered "playing nice" either. So if you're going to whine about us being mean, perhaps you'll word your PM's a little better next time.

I'm just saying that I hope I never run into you....I'm not threatening I just don't want to meet people that feel the need to disrespect my family.TheRandom1 wrote:So... you're not a douchebag. Don't worry my first car was a 2gn and I own a srt4. I've actually lurked on this forum for a long time...I just didn't have a need to be a member since I get more information and decent people from the big org
