Want to make 2000hp out of a 4G63? Just go Titanium and Beryllium.

OMG...

well strictly speaking they didn't push 2000hp out of a 4g63 but an engine with the same dimensional specs roughly, but still.. MAN that's impressive!!!

That's ridiculously awesome. When you got skills and money to burn, you get that.

$31,000 for a crankshaft
Even Vicki was shocked and she does not know that much about engines

Those Cosworths are pretty serious pieces.

While it's very impressive to achieve that much power out of only 4 cylinders, look at the dyno graph. You go from serious power (450hp) to insane power (1400hp) in a matter of 1000 rpm. Talk about unmanageable. I'm more for a smoother graph.

That was something the owner of the tuner shop addressed when brought up. This project was dedicated to just pushing out as much power as possible. They didn't care about track times or 60ft's. They just wanted to see how far it could go.

Understandable. Write it off as advertising. Hey look what we can do.

Exactly. Although, there is a video floating around, from one of their customers with a Evo 8 (can't remember that hp output), that took it to the strip. I think it ran low 9's in the 1/4th.
