I guess you've never owned a modded DSM.

cool but the lil old 2.3 those svo, turbocoupe and xr4ti's had can make some serous power. Heaven for bid you can find the special svo 3.0 block ford made that is rare as hell. You then have a 4cyl turbo stang like jon huber's or jon blairs 9 sec street driven 4 cyl turbo mustangs and the crank wont walk on you like those dsm motors. And those are still ohv motors. You can volvo 16v head swap the 2.3, 2.5's also but thats more of a pain then it can be worth
jon huber svo best et 9.03 but in vid 10's

jon blairs svo best et 9.25

The 6 bolt dsm's don't have crank walk issues, it's the newer 7 bolts.
I'd love to see what that thing does in the 1/4.

cosworth or not those 2.3 ohv motors can make retarded power. back in the 80s the svo's killed 5.0's and so did the sho's but ford would never let you know that. lol
theres a guy on my ranger forum who has a 400+ whp 2.3 with stock internals running an hx35 turbo. He runs 28-32lbs on boost on the stock internals.. and it holds it all day long. only upgrade is arp bolts.

The 2.3 cosworth and the 2.3 Lima are very very different engines. The 2.3L got a 16v head prototyped once very similar to the HH 2.2/2.5 head.
