She can't handle the power! Probably first high HP/TQ vehicle she has ever driven. Any sort of throttle action = wheel spin on those cars!

It was a kit car? Ok, so that at least answers why she's allowed to drive it in the first place. That was just terrible.
And all the narrator has to say is, "She did it, I knew she would."
What you don't hear is his the narrator's friend screaming in the background, "Damn dude, why didn't you tell me your girlfriend was narcoleptic BEFORE I let her drive my car!?"

So hes 25K down the drain if he wanted to sell it.. and whatever it costs to get a kit assembled..
