Mox's WRX Update.
I don't have a progress log and I haven't really had an update on the WRX. (Like anyone was curious.) I finally decided to do something with the car.... well finally had time to do something with the car. Working 53 miles from home is a fucking bitch.
So...
Last week I installed an Invidia 3" single exit "Race" Cat Back Exhaust.
Jeff hates the Tip. Just the Tip..... yea.... lol
My girlfriend asked me what I wanted for my birthday back in October, I told her that I didn't care and I'd rather her spend the money to pay off her medical bills.... But on Thursday a box arrived from UPS and in the Box was a Forge BPV
It's super quiet with the stock intake which is just fine with me.
And today I spent a couple hours installing the only set of springs made for the 2011 WRX's suspension. The 2011 WRX is the first year for a lot of changes to the WRX model. Parts from the 2008-2010's will fit on the 2011, they just aren't designed with the changes to the car in mind.
Before
After
Car is a little over an inch lower than stock, and it hasn't settled yet.
I have a thing or two coming in during the next week. Just thought I'd give an update since I haven't really been posting a whole lot lately.

Looking good!
He may have heard the line - "I'll only stick the tip in, I promise" one too many times.

Ugly ugly ugly. The exhaust as a whole is great, just that god damn tip.MoxHair wrote:Jeff hates the Tip. Just the Tip..... yea.... lol
When you gonna post what it sounds like?
Too funny, we just had a WRX come in with that same exhaust. Sound wasn't bad at all. Killer tip though brah
I don't know about down your way, but the big thing up here is the Nameless muffler delete. IIRC, they only have them for the sedan so far. Helpfull, no?

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

well it's not supposed to be slammed, I actually like suspension travel and a useful suspension rather than going for mad phat superfly stupid dope dumbass retarded bomb shit props. It's a little over an inch lower than stock, if you do the finger test, stock would be 4 finger wheel gap, now would be 2 finger.Neon4Life wrote:nice on the exhaust upgrade man, suspension cant see much difference from the pic but im sure u can in person. it will prolly be better after the springs settle.
Yea, I've seen the Nameless exhausts, but they are quite expensive for just an axleback. $485 for the axleback and $900 for the catback. I paid $500ish for a catback.Danteneon wrote:I don't know about down your way, but the big thing up here is the Nameless muffler delete. IIRC, they only have them for the sedan so far. Helpfull, no?

Thanks. Appreciate it.wickedgood4684 wrote:Tinted tail, Car looks good
I have no idea to be honest. I had a professional do it since I really don't have the time or patience to do things involving paint. All the Chrome Subaru uses on the hatch just doesn't match the car. I've been wanting to do something with it since I got the car. Much happier with them tinted.Danteneon wrote:What did you use on the lens? I hate Subaru's choice on the hatch's tails
I'm actually, not on any Subaru forum. I haven't really been involved on car forums since my job was moved 53 miles from my house. I spend 3 hours driving (round trip) each day and minimum 10 hours working. I haven't really had too much time to play with the toy. Why? What's going on on IWSTI?grambo wrote:Trav are you on IWSTI yet?

Its just a better all-around group than NASIOC or Iclub. Tech, Q&A, Parts For Sale...its just an all-around better crowd.
Like any forum, as the cars get cheaper, the intellect and qualit of the owners tends to spiral into the toilet but, IWSTI is holding out well.
Just an FYI. ;]
