Opinions on my SRT8

Post by Adam K. » Thu Mar 21, 2013 2:55 pm

Getting ready for Carlisle and asking for some opinions. I'm really fresh out of ideas on what to do.

The car is currently tuned with a diablo tune, resonator have been removed, and an cold air intake is on it's way.

But what about the looks? I'm going to get my taillights retinted and painting the rear defuser bright black. But what else?

Here is it with stock wheels

I'd leave the appearance "stock" ... it's a beautiful car, and certainly not something you see everyday.

I actually prefer the stock wheel design over the new ones, but they still look good. IMO leave the appearance alone, it's a great looking car. LOVE that colour! It's a 300 SRT8, not a neon or civic. Don't ruin it with tasteless mods

I love the way it looks from the front, absolutely mean dude.

You could lower it some, tint the tails a little bit, take the Chrysler badge off the trunk lid, black the badge (or body color) on the grille up front, and maybe paint the calipers either the stock color or an interesting color. Just my suggestions, take it or leave it.

I like keeping things stock but I agree with the chrysler badge on the rear. Looks out of place. The stock tails are nasty IMO. Black or red the "chrome" around the tail lights? That car is just pure sex. What did it put out power wise with the diablo tune? Or was it just a canned tune?

Personal preference really, but I'd relocate the front license plate to one side to a bracket that mounts underneath the front somewhere and pokes out in front of the bumper. I hate the stock location.

Whats the camera thingy for?

BTW, I would keep it the way it is. IMHO, if you remove the Chrysler logo from the back it will look like something is missing.

Thank you everyone for the opinions.

I really wish I could remove the plate but in NYC it will not take long before getting pulled over.

The front camera is for the adaptive cruise control and crash detection system. Pretty cool feature. Set the cruise to 80 and if someone brakes or pulls out in front of you the car brakes for you.

Thanks again.
