SO SAD
Hey Guys
When I heard this I thought it was a joke...the Fast and Furious movies inspired me more to do up the car ....he was a top bloke and will be sadly missed...We loved U down here mate....Only 40 years old which is even more sadder....
I drove today with my lights on in honor of Paul Walker ...AKA Brian O'Connor (Spilner) sadly missed my Brother R.I.P

From the looks of the car, hopefully they were both unconscious.NickKo wrote: What a Horrific way to die.
Depending on how the fire spread to them, makes a huge difference if they were conscious. The worst thing would be if the driver had been conscious as his son was trying to pull him out. Knowing your child seen you die this way...

If it was quick, it was likely painless. Your brain shuts down the sense of feel in those situations. I personally know this. It is more of a psychological battle on how you react from there on.
It is more horrifying for the witnesses. Take the nut jobs that set themselves ablaze in protest for example. I can fully understand how they can just sit there and burn.
(No I did not light myself up, I was set on fire from another person's bad decision on how they reacted to a jug of gasoline igniting. But you can't expect too much from a bunch of 10 year old kids. )

Agree with you bill. I would like to think they were unconscious and died peacefully

That would do it.
At ~90 mph, and unexpected strong arm steering, it doesn't add up to good things. It may have been burning before they crashed. Hot oil hitting a very hot exhaust....
When my oil pressure line broke at just 60 mph, it lit the neon up. Thankfully I was able to put it out.

Question
Hey Guys
I'm still so very saddened about this...
They have been playing the Fast and Furious Movies here on TV in tribute to The "Buster"
however I've been reading alot that there are Quote "suspicions" to this accident... Like the lack of skid marks and the car looked like it was blown up...whats going on in the US about this? or is it just crap??
We miss the Buster

Yeah those are all bogus rumors. There where skid marks and I also read on jalopnik that they don't think power steering failed... The tree that they hit was on the exit of a long sweeping turn, they speculate that high speeds caused Carrera GT ( known for breaking out the back end) to lose traction. Nonetheless it is very sad. Now all these stories are popping up about how humble and generous of a man he was, he will surely be missed

I work for the local power company and I respond to many car vs. pole accidents. Only one out of the dozens I have seen involved a car trying to stop or at least to the point where they left rubber on the road. And the one where they tried to stop involved a boosted Honda with bald tires going 80 in a 25 at a T-intersection. The headlights launched 100' from the car after it hit the pole.
