steering pump
needed:
open-end wrench 13,17 and 18
nuts 10 and 13
pliers
o-Ring 7 mm (dif. strentgh)
0,5 litre steering fluid
At first take as much steering fluid off as you can
Then take the 17 wrench and turn the tensioner away to take off the belt
The steering pump pulley has three holes so that you can reach the screws
underneath them with a 13 nut.
Be very careful as the plastik pulley gets broken really fast..
You canfind the screws located nearly at 6 / 12 / 8 o clock
At the other side of the upper screw you find underneath the hose another 13 screw which is really difficult to reach.
Now remove the screw 10 which holds the low and high pressure hoses
And carefully try to take the pump out.
Pay careful attention to the high pressure hose as it is really expensive...
Remove the clamb from the low pressure hose with the pliers and pull it off
high pressure hose
remove the swivel nut with an 18 wrench
Warning - the o-ring seal is a special one which might not be sold singly but it´s getting broken easily
Think about buying a set or single o-ring 7mm in different strentgh as the o-rings
at these sets may be to thin. Maybe ask your local hydraulic or pump dealer.
Install o-ring on the hose first
Install in reversed order.
I needed about half a litre of steering fluid which I filled in step by step with engine only
running from time to time to see how much I had to add.
If it is churning try to wait a little time that the air could get out . Or try to steer a little with running engine.
Here my running system after succesful operation.
