It's ultra easy Justin. I did my pads and rotors at all 4 corners in less than 2 hrs, taking my sweet time. Pads alone are cake bro.

Don't worry. You really don't need the pics. Print out the instructions, pop a tire off and you will see everything that is explained.

are you turning them counter clockwise? ;)

if yes, get a bigger bar

is there a secret to lining up the "boots" over the guide bolt ends with the respective ends that the screws go into?

Just tap the caliper and continually check the lineup. It take a couple tries but you'll get it. Once they're lined up correctly they should slide right in.

^ this. it can be a pain to get everything put back together. detaching is the easy part but putting everything back together can suck at times in this case.

Never had new brakes smoke. Definitely normal if they smell bad for a couple days though.

^Heh I didn't realize the dates! Answers it for others who may have that issue though. I could see them smoking if there was a break-in coating on the pads or rotors, or if oil/grease got on the contact surfaces of either.
