I have had no problems at all, I guess it is because they are piston subs that I have had no problems with them
the amp has not cut out on me, I have them hooked up 1 ohm stable but I don't have it cranked, but they sure do pound.......
can't go wrong considering I only have 800 dollars tied up in the whole system. LOL
but I don't know of anyone else that has the AWP312x subs. and the amp is the HCT 1500. in my mind it is a good combo..
Thanks for asking. don't get too many people ask me about it

It might be a cheap brand, but probably one of the better sounding subwoofers for the price point. I started out with Dual branded subs, and for the $250 I spent (2 10" subs, bandpass box, amplifier, and installation) I'm not complaining.
It's a great brand, but I too have moved on to bigger and better subwoofers/amplifiers. It's a good way to get yourself started in car audio.

I could probably do a cheaper setup that would sound much better though for that price. You would be surprised at what you can do with $250. While I do place Dual just one shy step above Audiobahn, they are both pieces of equipment I will never own due to multiple personal experiences with both.
I'm sure you could find a single sub and an amplifier that could push about 500W RMS for about $170 that would almost kill two 10" Dual speakers if you look in the right places. Then it would only take about $30 for materials and a six pack of beer to a good friend who knows how to build boxes. All you have left is wiring which can be had for about $50 if you look in the right place. An easy system that would pound close to 140db when setup right.

I'll show my work in progress to keep it going:
Teak cherry on top of 1/2 mdf subfloor. Waiting on the cherry thresholds to come in to trim it down to fit against the walls a bit better. Once its in there and flush I'll mount the amp in the middle of it. Alpines MRD1000D I think is the model number. It will float 2" from the floor and back lit. Hope to be able to hide the wires well enough so you dont' see anything but after seeing the end caps on the amp, I'm a bit worried.

Custom 15" d2 powered by an orion 2500d at 1 ohm.....2500 rms to the sub and it loves it

2.3 cubes tuned to 34 with 65 sq in port
next to a flea market 15
plus a jbl gto 75.4 on peerless mids, mb quart tweets and x overs with alpine cda-105
I've got it turned sideways now, its a bit louder that way, i wish i could make the box a bit larger but this is the largest that would fit without having to built it inside the trunk

/\ now that looks good. Just please don't use Dual subs..... the amps are ok but to lambostealth, if you switch out your subs for even some cheap alpines or something you will be SHOCKED by the difference. I know from experience

Besides that, lambostealth, the setup looks KILLER!!!!

The projects I've been working on....
Headliner...
Sub box covered....
Didn't have enough material left to do the other. Got another couple of yards today but worked on other projects instead. Hopefully will get the other box wrapped tomorrow and the amp rack will get adjusted on Weds. Burnin the candle to get the thing together for a show Jan 7-9
Who needs a dome light?
