I blew out a door speaker so i'm going to put new ones in not sure what I'm getting yet but my issues is I don't want blow another speaker due to the bass. I'm thinking just a passive inline to kill the 250hz and lower. Do they still makes those kind? or am I going to be looking at getting compents?

Also is ther bass blockers going from the door speakers to the dash speakers?

i dont think bass blockers are necessary for the doors, if you get a decent speaker.

definitly want blockers for the little ones though. they will sound like crap without them.

blockers arent really necissary anymore since radios have high-pass filters built in, however they still sell them.

not all radios have high-pass filters built into them, but quite often it is better to cut of the real low freq from smaller front speakers in order to make the mid-bass / midrange be a bit cleaner and less distorted from those speakers ...

just get a small capacitor (47uf or less) from radio shack it should help in cutting off the low frequencies. Or walmart sell highpass filters in the automotive speaker section.

go into best buy they sell them in the install bay. i recomend bass blockers only cause not all radios even factory radios have cross overs. i have seen factory radios bust speakers. so be safe than sorry. you wouldnt f**k a girl with no protection woudl you?lol

the stock dash speakers are wired with the blockers....

if you want to keep your stock dash tweets, and replace your door speakers, they are 8ohms each wired down to the 4ohm channel.

I swear only they would still use 8ohm what the hell.
