the earthquake site says that the 12's are as listed:

MODEL: DB-12 Street Pro
1000 MAX
Frequency Response = 25Hz - 1.1k
Sen = 89dB
50 Oz magnet
2" polymide coil (4 ohms)
Sandblasted pressed pulp fiber cone
High roll santoprene surround
Jet-black, textured basket
Stitched leads
MSRP:199.00

i don't know where you got your info

but either way. i've learned that it's a safe bet to go for an educated guess of RMS being around 1/2 the peak/max

well that right there makes the difference on which amp to get. if they're single voice coil and you run an amp for dual voice coil you'll pop them real quick

How many terminals do they have. You will be able to tell if they are SVC or DVC by the number of terminals.

that makes no sense...matching a amp to subs doesnt matter if the subs are single dual or even quad voice coils. it matters on the final ohm load when there wired up in a series or parallel.

to the OP, to check jsut see how many pairs of terminasl there are. if 1 set of black/red then its single if two sets of black/red terminals then its dual.

so you have 2 SVC 4ohm subs, so they can either be wired to 2ohm or 8ohm. I suggest wiring them to 2ohm. & using this diagram & you can use these amp. or you can look for something that does 800watts RMS @ 2ohm.
