check your harness in the back of the radio and check your ground. may have been just barely connected before and as it gets cold the metal shrinks causing it to loose connection. either that or you have a bad solder joint inside the radio...

its not the harness behind the radio, if its an aftermarket radio i can guarontee its the contacts on the face itself, if so i bet its also a pioneer

its a flip face the contacts are on the back of the flip face and the main deck....and no its a blaupunkt or however u spell it.....It wont turn on when i turn the car on put when i press on the face it lights up and turns on..l.once the pressure is removed the faceplate lights dim out but it still stays on and everything works fine....

try cleaning the contacts with an alcohol swab like we used to do with the old nintendo games, also see if any of them are bent. when u do this it might be a good idea to make sure the radio has no power going to it also
