? for year 2000 Neon owners...

found this auction, it's cheap at the moment, but thought it might be cool to get cuz it has the 4 disc changer AND the connecting cord/plug... but noticed that this radio has the round face like my 2004 Neon, but the plugs on the back are the 2 separate ones like my old 1996 Caravan square-face radio? is this because this is a 2000 radio?

(I thought round edge radios were all the same, and the old square face radios were all the same, including the connecting plugs..)

the oval style started in 2000, but chrysler stick with the old style plug setup till 01, the 02+ models got the new style plug. there is an adapter you can get so it will work with the 02+ harness.

thanx... didn't know about the adapter... I'm sure they're somewhere on evil-bay if I looked...
also noticed, (when I tried to rig up my old 2004 radio into the 96 Caravan)...that even the hole for the antenna plug is a different size...I thought at least those were standard..(??)

ahh, yes. forgot about the antenna plug. i think they changed in 2000. theres also an adapter for that too.

they changed it in some 2002's all 2003+ have the new antenna
