you can buy a reconing kit for it and do it yourself, or send it back to blaupunkt and they can do it for you.

Dam if i had the money id buy it. Well do you guys think i would be able use some sort of glue? Iv glued some speakers in the past and they held up pretty good. but then again they wer speakers. Im not looking to spend much since i only payed $40 for the sub so if its guna cost me the same or more to fix then il jus save and buy a new one.

the surround is whats busted, you cant really fix that without it going bad again in a couple of days and it not being worse
but surrounds go bad just to go bad, it happens over time, heat, humidity (or lack there of), overpowering all make it go quicker

i see what your saying. Do you think it could also b caused by too big of a box?? And it cant b beacause overpowering the sub. my amp pushes out 400W max

y0es a large box than whats recomended by the manufacturer will enable the sub to over extend and the first thing to be damaged from those conditions would be the surround and/or the spider. whats also possible but alot harder to do the voice coil can pop out of place if the suspention extends far enough, which you commonly see in the high end JL's, Fosgates, Audiobahn's, Kickers that have alot of give to them
HOWEVER, with surrounds you can run a sub with a damaged surround as long as the damage dosent exceed 5-15% of the total circumfrence, the whole point to the surround is to make sure the cone moves in a straight line. without it the sub will work and it will move back and forth but the non liniar movement will make the voice coil bounce arround inside the magnet and thats when you get that rattle that you hear with an old speaker/sub
