The power port is only live when the car is on.
That is WAY too much to run off of a cigarette light plug. That circuit is only 15A or 20A, in the description it says that a 120A fuse is required.
What are you trying to power?
My laptop power supply says it requires 65 watts. That is why I am looking at this: http://www.blackanddecker.com/productgu ... =4#details
It is 100W.
The best thing to do is to look at what you are trying to do and add up all the wattage requirements. The one you linked to is a hell of a lot of power.

well the inverter i got is a black and decker
it has a switch thingy that when the battery voltage drops below 10v it shuts off the power. so this is my dilemma when ever i turn on the subs and stuff the power inverter turns off the power to the carpc.
i ethier need to get one that doesnt have that switchy thingy or i need a secound battery and use it in a way that it doesnt get discharged so basically like a farad cap so iwould hook it up like this
the battery in the trunk for the amps and stuff and the batter in the bay for the car and the carpc.
but i have to figure out how to set this up so it doesnt cause a fire. like a umm valve. lets the current in but not out again. till i do this i cant runn my pc cant risk fring the mobo or somethign
oh and aside from that i hooked up my inverter to the 12 volt memory wire usually the yellow on in after market hu,

Sounds like you need something else if you are dropping the battery down to less than 10V when the sub hits.

The "switch thingy" is to make sure that the output signal from the inverter does not underpower whatever device you are using. Its really a feature rather than a negative. If your computer does not have enough power supplied to it, you're gunna experience crashing. Think of it as running a 300W video card in a PC with a 200W power supply.
Why not invest in a DC power supply for the computer? You could directly wire it in and not have to plug up your lighter port. It would be a lot more efficient than taking DC -> Inverter -> AC -> Power supply -> DC. You could then use relays or whatever you want to control it as you will.
Check out these forums for useful stuff on car computers http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/. Specifically THIS section talks about power supplies and voltage regulators.
You could probably run an audio capacitor right now to eliminate the voltage drop problem.
