i cant vote... not an L7 fan...

I'm a fan of Niche Audio products. Inexpensive and killer bang for your buck... That and I used to work for them, and I helped them design their product line, so I know what they're made of and what they're capable of ;-)

Ask Justin (2003silverneonsxt) about the systems I've built for him in the past, I'm sure he'll vouch for Niche Audio as well :)

Note: No, I dont get paid to say good things about Niche Audio. I honestly believe in the product THAT much :)

dude the ohms dont make the sub itself different, it enables you to extract more power out of your amp... you should deside how many subs you want and which amp first before you pick a sub

for example if you pick a 2ohm sub and get a mono amp your never gonna get all you can out of that amp so you basically just wasted your money

also look at the alpine Type-R subs, they are cheaper in price and can output more bass because of its higher sensitivity. even better would be the Fi-Audio subs which are completely customizable and cost the same or a little more i recomend you check them out and look at the BTL's on youtube.... bitches are badd

keep in mind they should cost less than $200 nowadays, when i baught my set 4 years ago they were at about 255 a sub,... 4 years later they still hit like if they were new, and they still look new too... these babies will take some punishment as long as you dont overpower them and put them in a recomended sized box

http://www.nicheaudiousa.com/

im on my third niche audio system that matt has built for me..

i first had a single 15" in a custom box, loved it, but took up too much room, so sold it and got 2 12" subs, got a noise ordiance ticket for bieng heard 6 city blocks away (with only a 1000watt amp)

now i am on my new sytem witha single 10" sub and a 1000watt amp, and i have their 4 channel 1280 watt amp for my speakers..

4 10's is overkill... if you know how to build a box you can get 2 12's to be as loud as you'de need...

I've been building boxes for about 9yrs, take my advice...it wont steer you wrong :)

when building a system what really matters is how much of a budget you have.

I personally had a Type-R & it was great bang for the buck with a 900watt amp. had it in a 2.5 cft ported enclosure

like everyone has said, if you have the correct box you can rock out anything. i used to run a pair of jl 10w0 with each getting about 100rms daily, 200 when i went to a show. i broke 141db with them.

that amp alone will not be enough to power 2 type-r subs. they are rated at 500rms each and can really take more than that on a daily basis.

if you are set on that brand and line of amps, you will have to get a http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio ... ctID=19252 and then buy the dual 2 ohm version of the type-r subs. that way you can wire them down to a final load of 2 ohms and give each sub 500rms.

OR, you can buy 2 of the amps you listed but you will have to buy the DUAL 4ohm version of the type-r subs to gain the maximum power from the amps.

If I were you, I'd get myself a 2Channel amp that can put out 2x500wRMS @ 2ohms.

Get 2 subs -> Dual 4ohm voice coils. That way you can wire each sub at 2ohm so they can get the maximum power from your amp.

Or, if you really want a mono amp, make sure it can output at least 1000wRMS at 2ohm. That way, if you wire the subs at 2ohm, they each get 500wRMS.

For subs jsut get a mono amp, since they are more efficient than a 2/4 channel amp.

get 2 dual 4 ohm type r 10"s & wire them down to 1ohm. & get this amp

http://sonicelectronix.com/item_12210_H ... 1208D.html

& get someone to build a enclosure for you that is 3-4cft tuned to 30-34hz.

or you can get a premade ported box from mobilesoundworks.com
