ok so i need some help
so i want to upgrade my regular doors to power windows and lock and hopefully add an alarm system... but i went to the dodge dealer by my house and the parts guy is so fucking stupid he doesn't know a damn thing about anything. tried to tell me that i will be spending over 4 grand to do this part of my upgrade and that i probably don't hav the electrical know how to do this. so i need to get part number of everything i need so far i have nothing lol but i will be coming in ontacted with 3 grand soon so i will definatly get this one done. any info will help guys i really need to get this done so i can move back to the motor and finish her up for boost
and i also was wandering about the trunk pop for our cars does it work with just a button or what???
paying oem prices on everything to make it an oem install you probably would be spending upwards of 4K to do it.
i personally would not spend 4K on power windows and locks.. talk about a waste of money. aftermarket lock and window kits for a total of $300 max is the way i'd go (and did go with my power lock kit for $30). not as purrrtttty as oem but w/e

ok well it's not that much any way the dude is just stupid but were did you get your kit from and if it's from ebay then i am not even going to try cuz the last time i went on there i got fucked over hard core

93 talon tsi awd 430 awhp at 24 psi--sold
04 se to 2.0l srt daily whip
95 yzf 600 bored to a 750 weekend fun toy
97 camaro v6 supercharged teh wifeys
03 tiby---mommy mobile
i got it from ebay but it was a SPAL kit (one of the best).. they also do window kits.
and actually it probably will be close to that or at least not extremely far off. the guy might have been stupid but he would obviously know about prices better than you.
i dont know if the motor and window regulator come as a unit, or if you have to buy them separate (since they each have part numbers), but just take this as an example
front doors:
5015216AC $120.00
Body hardware - Door - Front door - Window regulator
Window regulator, neon, 4 door, right, w/power windows 2001 - 2005
5015217ad $155.00
Body hardware - Door - Front door - Window regulator
Window regulator, neon, 4 door, left, w/power windows 2001 - 2005
5015218AC $121.00
Electrical - Body electrical - Front door - Window motor
Window motor, neon, 4 door, right, part of window regulator 2001
5015219AC $48.75
Electrical - Body electrical - Front door - Window motor
Window motor, neon, 4 door, left, part of window regulator 2001
theres $445 already for front windows
PZ521L5AG $239.00
Front door - Interior trim - Trim panel assy - W/power windows and power locks
PZ531L5AG $210.00
Front door - Interior trim - Trim panel assy - W/power windows and power locks
$449 for door trim panels for your power lock and window switches.. not including any of the actual buttons
thats almost $900 for windows so far.
4793566AC $106.00
WIRING DOOR (right)
4793567AD $295.00
WIRING DOOR (left)
$401 for the wiring, and there may be more also.. i dont know the specifics of the wiring harnesses involved.
example, one of the instrument panel wiring harnesses that mention power locks 4793929AE $1,800.00
now add all the stuff for the locks, the rear doors, etc.
good luck man!
please note that none of these part numbers are meant to be used for your application specifically.. i pulled them out of my 2000 parts manual and even though some of them may still be applicable to your car i didnt post them as a list to mean they are the parts you need. only an example.
i just checked ebay for the heck of it, there are some spal kits that i would not hesitate to buy. seller feedback is over 5000.

ok well parts here ate skim but there is a donor car with at least half of what you listed on there so that would cut the cost 3/4 but either way the dude shouldn't give me advise if he has no idea what he is talking about but hey he could be right on cost of parts. but when telling me it's not possible it is it's been done over and over again. but hey what is the buys web sight that you bought your kit from cuz if it easy and chep i will do that for now until i get the rest of what i need just really need to make sure i can lock my doors without having to do each one indivigually you know??

I would have to say just find a jy car that is power. And rip out everything from that.
A suggestion is rip it all out. Then go to the counter and if you feel the price is too high. Say ok. Have fun putting it back!! They might go down on price a bit. Or they might let you leave. But it is worth a shot. I have done this a couple times and it has worked for me. But them again me and my friend hauled in a HEAVY ass rear end from a truck. Needless to say he gave it to us at our price haha.

i bought mine from an individual seller, not a store.. he had it laying around and never used it so i got it super cheap

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dl ... =spal+lock
i originally looked at the 'spal lock' search results. one of the sellers has both kits, combined kits, 2 doors, 4 doors, etc. "ACCESSORIES FOR CARS" is the store name, 5000+ feedback.

post revival!
wanting to add power locks only to my SE... search came up with this post..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REMOTE-P ... 2c53b4f778
I'm guessing this is not worth it....best to stick with the SPAL stuff mentioned above? (thanx for the link, e-bay search still works and comes up with 4 door kits)
