Frony door speakers

Hi, I bought a pair of sony xplode 6x5 4 way speakers for my front door and when i went to install them they were to small..I own a 2001 dodge neon..I cant figure out why...maybe an inch or less to fill and screw them in. Any ideas...every where i look tells me they are the right size thanks...

i think the size is 6 3/4 but 6.5 might work. dont think 6x5 will work

I replaced my front door speakers with 6 1/2 in. You have the wrong size. Try going to crutchfield.com and putting in your car information and it will tell you what size speakers to get.

You have to buy a speaker adapter set, or do what I did, took the stock adapter and drilled holes into it.

ummmmm there is no 6x5.... maybe he meant 6.5.

I did the same thing though. i just used the stock piece the spekers were sitting on. worked fuckin great.

that's what I did, I bought a pair of cheap pioneers and drilled 3 holes into the factory plastic "adaptor"
