We kept messing wit it and nothing happened. This morning we checked all the fuses and nothing was blown. What could be wrong and what can i check? i seriously need the alarm cuz all my goodies are in there. Help me out guys

check to see if the ground is...well...still grounded. Also check to make sure it has power to it. Does it respond by remote? If so then the arming feature is working and there may be some sensor circuits going bad. My first alarm had that problem within 2 months of having it in. Just go online and pull your manual up for it and retrace your wires. If all are connected then you have a circuit board going bad. Also do you have it wired into the dome light wire? If not then you can open the door and the alarm will not go off becuase the shock sensor will not shake enough. Just ideas for you to check.

I believe they are. Cuz i left the windows down. Locked it. Then unlocked it by hand and opened it. And as soon as i opened any of the doors the dome light turned on.

Just to verify...when you have locked your car with the remote and opened your door from the inside (window down) the alarm has gone off in the past?
The reason I ask is because you can have RKE but no alarm. When the car is locked with the remote, does the red light on the cluster flash?

yea it always did that. The lil red light flashes and everything. Earlier i sat in the car and my friend locked it wit the remote, i openened and the fuckin alarm went off. i tried it after and it didnt do anything.

Damn. Well, other than running a diag on the system, I don't have anything very helpful for ya. Other than my gut telling me its a bad RKE module

Would running a diag on the system be worth it?

If you want your alarm to work again, I would say so. I'm guessing you don't have a FSM? If you did, they outline the diagnostic procedure to determine where the fault lies.

Oh, sorry. FSM = Factory Service Manual. IMO, every Neon owner should have one. It will pay for itself with just one repair since a 1 hour check-out charge is anywhere from $65-$95.
