I want to say bad ground? but the radio prolly wouldn't power up. Most speakers I've seen ground through the head unit. You don't have an amp, just wired directly to the radio?

:withstupid: And check the main harness that plugs into the radio. The connectors can be sketchy sometimes.

Wire colors ^

You can use a multimeter to check it or even an old speaker and see if the headunit is putting out an audio signal and troubleshoot from there.

check your speaker connections at the harness, make sure evrything is plugged in right and no wires are loose, if that dont fix it then proceed to checkin the individual speakers for proper connection.

Do you run all of you speakers through amplifiers? Did you make sure that the amplifiers are turning on? My first thought was that maybe you shorted your remote turn-on wire.

Resolution to this problem? Seems very similar to one I'm having...

And yes, I know this is an old thread...

It could also be a wire that is either pinched somewhere and grounding out or a cut wire grounding out. Do you have any blown speakers??? My suggestion is to disconnect all speakers and try them one at a time. If that doesnt help then you may be better off tryin to test each speaker lead and see if you get different readings with a multimeter.
