So my car won't start, i boost it and i can drive it as long as i want but as soon as i turn the key off, it wont start again and i need another boost. is it the battery or the alternator?

i thought since i could drive it and stays on once its turned on that my car was drawing power directly from the alternator....

take it to an auto parts store and have both of them tested. only way to know for sure.

You know the alternator is good enough to at least run the car. But that doesn't mean that it's not draining the battery when the engine is not running. I have had that problem in the past. So like nineball said....

sooo it was discoverd the car was just i don't know, took off terminals cleaned them up and now it works
