"Premium" sound system?

Post by jonnymopar » Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:27 am

I found some stock rear speakers for sale, but they're from an '03 R/T with the "premium" sound system. Does anybody know what that means? Could I have it already in my car? When I bought my '03 SXT, it had the single CD deck with 6 speakers (I know I have the tweeters up on the dash), then I added the 4-disc factory changer.

You may have it. The "Premium" wasn't anything special really. It was the most common speakers found in our cars. Unless you have the Kicker system you probably have the "premiums".
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Ok that's cool then. I need to replace one of my rear speakers. I ripped the harness clean off when I was loading my car with camping gear. Just trying to figure out what I need for replacements. I like the way it sounds and I'm not real interested in going aftermarket.

EDIT: My current rear speakers are part number 04795133AA.

I just looked that up to see what options were available for 2003.

None. It was the speaker you have or nothing

Some 02's had infinity, my dad's does and it sounded good. But I'm pretty sure it was the last year for it.

Not Neons. Other lines, yes. But not us :(

Some of Chrysler's speakers were made by Infinity, but they were not the "Infinity System". No amp, just el-cheapo speakers :(

Well no amp. But it sounds alot better than mine and actually has decent bass for speakers. I know all the speakers say infinity big on them, unlike mine that say chrysler real big.

His is an ES, or whatever the premium one is. I think ES.
